There’s been no shortage of smiles and delight as we make our way on the Appreciation Tour celebrating small manufacturers in Fairfield County! What better time than May Day to gather with the collective brain trust of Sonata Scientific in Danbury, soaking in the new energy of the season as we listened, learned, and shared stories - and pizza? The entire team got together for a group shot with us after lunch. This talented group, founded and led by Peter Van Buskirk and Jeff Roeder, has one objective: to make the medical supply chain more safe and secure.  That's a mission that's easy to embrace. So what do they do? Simply said, the process of sterilizing more than half of all medical devices emits toxic gas through its packaging which at a certain level can pose a risk in factories and warehouses, creating a danger to workers exposed to it. Sonata Scientific has developed a control product to largely mitigate those toxins, improving worker and community safety. (Keep us honest, Team SS!)
