We’re thrilled to announce a global partnership and investment from Honeywell, one of the largest utility digital solution providers in the world. 🎉 Under this partnership, SparkMeter is deepening its footprint across frontier markets to enhance grid reliability and efficiency and advance into the next era of smart utility management with mid-sized US utilities. “Due to the lack of visibility into existing grid performance in many parts of the world, disadvantaged and rural areas often struggle with unreliable or inadequate electricity,” our CEO Daniel Schnitzer said. “Our goal is to enable greater grid resilience by partnering with leaders like Honeywell Smart Energy to bring our plug-and-play grid management technology to address the needs of utilities in all markets.” More on how we’re future-proofing grids across the globe to accelerate the energy transition: https://lnkd.in/dFjeShac

As SparkMeter continues to deliver solutions to modernize African utilities, we're excited to announce two new contracts with Caabudwaq Electric Company (CECO) and Blue Sky Energy to support the digitalization of Somalia’s electricity grids. Following our successful implementation of Somalia’s first-ever smart grid project with the National Energy Corporation of Somalia - NECSOM, our partnerships with CECO and Blue Sky Energy will serve to expand affordable, clean energy access to 75,000+ homes in the region. ⚡ “Our utility customers in Somalia are some of the most forward-thinking leaders we’ve worked with, and we’re proud to continue to partner with them to ensure equitable energy access with utilities across the country,” SparkMeter CEO Daniel Schnitzer said. Giama Guled, Chairman of CECO. “Now, with the introduction of SparkMeter’s technology, customer meter reads and billing processes are streamlined and customers have a wider range of payment options. This significantly reduces our system losses and allows us to provide better service to our customers.” More on how SparkMeter is taking the lead to introduce smart metering technologies in Somalia, home to some of the highest electricity rates in the world: https://lnkd.in/erNZMEfZ

This #MinigridMonday, we're diving into our grid project in Ethiopia with Humanitarian Energy and Ethiopia Petroleum and Energy Authority (PEA) to bring electricity access to thousands of forcibly displaced persons in the region. Let’s zoom in 🔍 Only 7% of Ethiopia’s nearly 5 million refugees have access to energy. In a landmark milestone for the nation, PEA granted the first commercial mini-grid license in Ethiopia to Humanitarian Energy to deploy minigrids in the region. Powered by SparkMeter’s grid management solution, these minigrids offer access to reliable, continuous, affordable, and sustainable electricity for many refugees. Check out how our project in Ethiopia is continuing to support the nation’s electrification plans: https://bit.ly/4flmnuJ
