It also helped us hone in on, and appreciate the power of, a great elevator pitch itself—which our founder Raina Kumra absolutely nailed. The elements of which are: ✅Establishing a clear problem/solution: 94% of Americans are nutrient-deficient, which leads to chronic illness. Our founder Raina was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Sun Valley Forum this month, which brought together climate visionaries and innovators from such as Patagonia, National Geographic and the Re-Earth Initiative. Not to mention, you can’t ask for a more perfect location: Sun Valley, gloriously surrounded by the nature we are all striving to protect. Such great inspiration and action items for our brand—and while we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved in terms of eco-packaging and more, there is still room for improvement. Since we are on a mission to close the nutrient gap with everyday foods, if the nutrients we get from the earth aren’t healthy, then what we make with them won’t be either. #climatechange #health #environment https://lnkd.in/g6w6uq95

As a brand that was created to help make a nutrient dense change to the American diet, the results of a recent study, which was covered by Food Dive and Food Navigator, caught our eye 👀. It found: - 60% of consumers listed health and wellness issues as a top concern; - “Better for you” food and clean ingredients are now “less of a trend, more of the norm”; - 68% of consumers stated that they feel that nutrition can treat specific health conditions However, the one barrier to shopping for these kinds of products in today’s economy is usually…cost. It’s been an interesting week on social media – with some lessons learned about the importance of staying on top of your feeds and actively joining in the conversation. While social media can be frustrating, this story illustrates how it pays off to consistently monitor and engage with your community. What went down: ❌Dennis Echelbarger, founder of a holistic health community, posted a reel about how two popular salt brands (that he typically uses and recommends) had been tested and shown to have very high levels of heavy metals 🧂Then, Realfoodology’s Courtney Swan put up an Instagram story about the reel, opening up her current spice drawer to reveal one of those brands but also…Spicewell, which she wondered if it had been tested 👀Raina noticed and quickly got back to her, noting that we test every batch for heavy metals and for microplastics—of which we are lower than 3 leading brands (plus, higher in minerals)! 📣We then posted our own story, which resulted in Courtney being able to share Spicewell as a great, safe alternative with her audience (who was now confused about which salts to use moving forward) 📈All this resulted in a nice uptick in followers on our channel, and great awareness of our brand mission: to make superfood seasonings that make a nutrient dense change to the American diet, and that also help spark a movement advocating for better, healthier products Anyone else have a real-time social media win to share? We love a good success story!

We were interested to read that, due to higher food prices and the cost of eating out, consumers are creating dupes of restaurant meals and packaged goods. Our New Salt & New Pepper are perfectly suited for this purpose (like here, to make beet hummus), but double as an easy way to also boost your food’s nutrient value. Homemade will always be cheaper than eating out, and healthier than packaged (which often means processed). Highly recommend making this for your 4th of July picnics and parties!
