In their article, Sustainability Magazine notes Stanford’s “robust sustainability programs focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste reduction, and water conservation,” and attributes the progress to Stanford’s push for comprehensive, university-wide change. Sustainable Stanford just welcomed its 2023 cohort of interns! This group of accomplished Stanford students will be joining the Sustainable Stanford team this year to work on environmentally geared projects, from implementing #zerowaste initiatives to communication and outreach. This month, Stanford University accepted a Platinum Status designation from The Climate Registry for its demonstrated leadership in climate action.  This award recognizes Stanford’s dedication in reporting and verifying its #carbonfootprint to the highest standard in 2021. The platinum designation comes from The Climate Registry, a non-profit organization that connects, educates, and empowers North American organizations to do more in the fight against #climatechange by providing services and tools to help them identify and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.  Thank you to The Climate Registry for this designation and for all the work that you do!
