One of the more gratifying things about a small company is having the ability to partner with organizations that you truly CARE about. We have been so fortunate to have been introduced to https://lnkd.in/ehCjZQSG via one of our young standouts fondly known as "Butcher." The organization serves multiple purposes , not the least of which is to remember and tell the story of Matthew "Swirls" Cirelli who was diagnosed with, fought bravely and ultimately succumbed to Ewing's Sarcoma in 2013. I never had the privilege of knowing or even meeting Matthew, but I certainly feel like I did. The compassion and love that the Swirls team exudes is special and we have certainly gravitated to them and their cause. Below is a pic of some of our great people at a Swirls event this past Saturday. There are so many great organizations and causes out there ... check this one out and you'll quickly see why we have grown so fond and appreciative of all they do!

What an unbelievable 7 years it's been. Admittedly, a company's 7 year anniversary isn't the typical celebrated milestone - but my crew deserves to look back and smile because these haven't been TYPICAL times. When we started the company in August of 2017 with little to zero resources, we aimed to simply stay in the game. The challenge wasn't to see if you were able to execute the business ... the challenge was to see if you could execute the business while: - keeping your family intact and without the worry that ate at you nightly - believing in yourself and your partners no matter what - sticking to the plan regardless of how bleak it might feel or seem - never giving in ... never giving up - believing that COVID was just another bump in the road - placing a premium on your TEAM & getting every member thru '20 & '21 - all along creating an environment built on trust and empathy - learning to truly appreciate the small victories because they ALL matter - never losing sight of the most important thing in your company - PEOPLE My career has been marked with an equal number of high & low points. Now that I'm an old sentimental guy who truly understands what is most important in life & business, almost all days are cause to celebrate. My team ... the very best of teams ... the very best people. They don't just care about a paycheck or a title on a business card. They care about their partners, they care about those they endeavor to help and they care about me because they each know I'd do just about anything for any one of them. I don't say it as often as I should, but thank you Soo, Onions, Miller, Torch, Sly, Butcher, TRoy, Cole, Coach, ZB, Momo, KB, JP, Visky, Gibbs. You are the reason we are still standing, growing, and hopeful for what lies ahead!

In the ever growing email solicitation culture that seems to be replacing good old fashioned "real" relationship building, a new villain has emerged. I receive no fewer than 75 emails PER DAY with the subject line: "Tom, Quick Question" Quick answer ... "NO" I'm sure there are some analytics that suggest this works but I can't understand why or who would respond favorably to hundreds of these per week from a seemingly infinite number of solicitors. I'd much rather have a conversation with you. Am I crazy...?

For those of us in the people business, the services world, or sales in general...the past couple of years have proven to be more difficult as it relates to executing sales process. For us ... it's simply been "PHONE - MEETING - ORDER." Conceptually speaking, the recruiting business or success therein is predicated exclusively on relationships. Tough to build relationships without having the opportunity to meet people eye to eye. Well thankfully that seems to be changing for the better as our team has been able to secure more meetings over the past 4 weeks than we had in the previous 2 years combined. My crew hasn't worked remotely for even a day. All through COVID we were in the office together banging away. We are all beyond eager to once again get out and MEET people. And I know, having done this for 25 years, that the ONLY way we can differentiate ourselves from any of the other firms is by having our team meet your team. We aren't perfect, but we care deeply about the relationships we have built over the past 6 years and we look forward to the ones on the horizon that we aim to build. That said, if you have occasion to speak with someone from our young but growing firm, take the meeting. We won't waste your time and you'll have the opportunity to meet someone who genuinely cares about earning AND keeping your business.
