Dr. Deborah Younger’s passion for medicine stems from her childhood, beginning her career as a nurse practitioner and later attending medical school at the age of 35. Dr. Younger’s widespread career has allowed her to help patients in remote areas to those worldwide. Just over a year ago, our partners at UT Medical Center opened a freestanding Emergency Department in Jamestown, TN to fill a crucial gap in the community following the closure of their local hospital. The Jamestown ED offers immediate, accessible emergency care, eliminating the need for long-distance travel for lifesaving and timely medical services. From January 2024 to May 2024, the ED has treated 4,657 patients, further underscoring this facility's vital role and importance in the community.
