Ursula Washington, one of our Regional Philanthropy Officers, was recently promoted to the Red Cross’ DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) program as a new coach. The DEI program is key to the Red Cross’ principles as it creates a better work and community environment for all staff, volunteers, donors, and clients to thrive in. Thank you to our community partner @AttackPoverty for allowing us to come to your facility and train your staff members on how to run a shelter alongside us when a disaster strikes. It truly takes a village to be able to help all in need.

El equipo de liderazgo regional de la Cruz Roja de la Costa del Golfo de Texas y el Programa de Adaptación Comunitario pasaron la mañana apoyando a la comunidad de Harlingen como voluntarios en Harlingen Neighborhood Food Pantry- Harlingen, Texas. Cada semana se distribulle a la comunidad más de 13,000 libras de alimentos.

Nuestro Gerente del Programa de Adaptación Comunitario, Hansel Ibarra, y el Equipo de Liderazgo Regional de la Costa del Golfo de Texas están en Harlingen esta mañana trabajando con Harlingen Neighborhood Food Pantry para distribuir más de 200 bolsas de alimentos a la comunidad.
