In advance of the new school year, Watson was delighted to welcome renowned author and professor of educational neuroscience, Lori Desautels, to share her expertise in supporting students who are experiencing trauma and adversity. Dr. Desautels presented to more than 450 Watson educators and staff, imparting knowledge gained through years of research and teaching experience. In-service week is typically a time filled with classroom preparations, team collaborations, curriculum planning, and professional development. The Education Center Sewickley added a little bit of “fluff” to their in-service schedule this year 🐶 meet Ollie, aka “The Ladies’ Man”! This snuggly Shih Tzu Therapet along with his canine pals Cooper and Rosie helped our educators take a breather from their school year prep to offer snuggles and pets. Special thanks to the dogs’ owners, Jen, Mary Kay, and Diane, and Animal Friends for visiting!
