Mucoepidermoid carcinoma, low grade, Warthin tumor-like variant (scanned) Whole mount reveals a predominantly cystic parotid gland neoplasm with a dense lymphoplasmacytic tumor associated lymphoid proliferation (TALP). The cystic structures are lined by bland epithelium with a suggestion of squamous differentiation. A MAML2 gene rearrangement is present, confirming the diagnosis. #pathtwitter #theJPCNCR

MAJ (Dr.) Anna-Maria Travis (right), veterinary pathologist from the Joint Pathology Center, travelled to the University of Georgia (Athens, GA) last week (24-28 JUN) to serve as cadre for the Army Veterinary Support to Stability Operations (VSSO) Global Veterinary Medicine Course. MAJ Travis taught 22 veterinarians from the Army, Air Force, and Public Health Service, focusing on animal autopsies, transboundary animal disease, and planning international development projects. These skills are invaluable in support of DoD Global Health Engagements and Security Cooperation activities across the globe.
