Hey, all! I have to shout out my incredible internship experience at Assembly Atlanta one more time to talk about the premiere of a project very close to my heart! Last week, my fellow interns and I got to host a screening at Assembly Atlanta Studios for our short film “In Full Flora" - a story about empowering your inner child through performance art. The premiere was a culmination of hard work and dedication from our spectacular cast, crew, and executive production team. Massive thanks to Mayra Garcia, Justin Campbell, Sydney Jack, and Solomon St. King for fostering such a comprehensive, rewarding internship experience and giving us the chance to showcase our project! Seeing our story come to life on the big screen was a surreal experience — one that I will cherish forever. We have officially opened up registration for our 2024 High School filmmaking Summer Camps! Come write, shoot and edit your own productions! Below is a list of our various different programs we have to offer this year: Introduction to Film Production Camp  June 3rd - June 7th Students will learn the basics of film production, from writing and breaking down short scripts, shooting their own films, and editing them in the final days of the camp. This is a great camp to learn about everything film has to offer! Screenwriting Camp  June 3rd - June 7th By working with experienced industry writers, campers will learn to create incredible stories that will come to life during the Advanced Filmmaking camp. Advanced Film Production Camp Session One: July 15th - July 19th Session Two: July 22nd - July 26th One of two, week-long camps focused on advanced filmmaking concepts by incorporating special projects and providing more shooting days than Intro to Filmmaking. Production teams will use scripts written during the Screenwriting camp and work with a team from the Post-production camp to have their film edited. Actors from Alliance Theatre Acting for Screen camp will be cast in their films! Post-Production Camp Session One: July 15th - July 19th Session Two: July 22nd - July 26th With instruction from industry professionals, students will create production teams that are paired with a group from the Advanced Production Camp. Post-production campers will work in tandem to edit the films made by the Advanced Production campers!
