Thought I'd share a little freebie for fellow technical founders using Stripe 🙏 You're an engineer who built a product, people loved it, and now you have revenue– before you know it, you're a bona fide CFO. I know *tons* of founders who are in the same position. Having a grip on your financials daily (if not hourly) is crucial, but sometimes it's just easier/more fun to spend your time with GitHub, Linear, PostHog, Mixpanel, etc. That's why I put the process of daily financial reporting on autopilot. At Thoughtly we jump between two Stripe accounts: one for our self-service customers, and one for our CPQ (shoutout Salesbricks 🧱!) I wrote a simple Firebase Function to compute our numbers every day at 9 AM ET, then shoot that over to me in Slack. Not only has this been an *enormous* time saver (no more spreadsheets), but I'm able to get a critical view of the business at a glance every morning with my cup of Blue Bottle Coffee (big Nola Shakerato guy) ☕️ Fellow founders, I hope this can help!
