Recently, we hosted Thread Tea N' Tell, where our community came together to share their latest projects in Fashion Tech—while enjoying some delicious tea and bakery treats. The turnout was fantastic, and we’re still so inspired by all the amazing work everyone showcased. A big thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their ideas, and created a welcoming environment! Show N Tell Highlights: Minjie S. introduced Mira, a platform helping fashion brands grow sales by providing online shoppers with personalized shopping experiences. Join the waitlist here, and fashion brands can apply here to become a pilot partner. Karina Chan shared insights from her Changing Room Thoughts podcast, where she explores critical fashion analysis. She’s eager to discuss fashion IP and explore opportunities in supply chain. Ji Yeon K. announced she's starting a curated, Korean-sourced jewelry business called Jiyeon's Drawer, alongside creating content. Connect with her if you’re interested in culture-inspired jewelry. Julianne L. showcased her 3D-printed accessories and is currently seeking software engineering opportunities. A major thank you to TOST Beverages and Mia's Brooklyn Bakery for the drinks and sweet treats! Stay tuned for our upcoming events in September and October.

New York Tech Week is renowned for industry leaders and companies working at the bleeding edge. It was the perfect backdrop for our first Threads of Tech private dinner, which brought together visionaries from fashion-tech, retail, and e-commerce. At a charming vegan Mediterranean spot in Chelsea, we created an intimate setting where tech startups could connect with established fashion brands. The result? An evening of authentic dialogue, inspiring insights, and the forging of future collaborations. 💡🤝 With an arrangement of round-table authentic discussions, we experienced knowledge-sharing, sparked future partnerships and enhanced our community building. This gathering wasn't just about networking; it was about building bridges that will shape the future of our industries. 🌐✨ We were so excited to be joined by EILEEN FISHER, INC., Coach, FASHIONPHILE, KREWE, Treet, Channable, SuperCircle and many more! Thank you to our incredible partners FERMÀT, Ecodrive, Qatch, and KIKI World for making this event possible. #newyorktechweek #fashiontech #industrydinners #nyc #sustainability #futureofretail

Last month, Orkids & Threads of Tech hosted EDGE NYFW, a Future of Fashion Tech Expo that brought together 11 startups, 21 speakers, and 400 attendees to the The Canvas Global, Inc. 3.0 in the World Trade Center. Attendees experienced product demos and heard from 5 panels over the course of the day. Panelists dove into AI styling, co-creative voting, blockchain enabled transparency, brand loyalty 3.0, circular fashion, clothing rentals, and so much more. Among the attendees and partners, we heard fresh viewpoints, stimulating questions that may lead to better solutions, and connections that will continue to drive progress in the fashion community. As fashion technology evolves, we look forward to highlighting its advancements and organizing more meaningful events to bring the community together. We are immensely grateful to all our volunteers, partners, speakers, and participants for their contributions to making the event a success! Your support and involvement were pivotal, and we couldn't have done it without you. Big shout out to our dedicated team, without your hard work and commitment we wouldn't be able to organize the high quality and impactful event that reached as many people as it did. And a big thank you to each of our partners, your involvement made the event as delicious as it was educationally significant to raising awareness about the advancements in the fashion industry. We are excited for the innovations in store for 2024, and are eager to share it with you! Stay tuned for more events coming soon! ⚡ Our partners included Arête, ThredX, By Rotation, Kalder, KIKI World, Fital, Rodeo, alternew, The PS Collective, Evermore Labs, Jori, ARI, & ZetaChain
