Congratulations to our client, Association to Preserve Cape Cod (APCC), on its recent $15M grant funding award from the NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to restore about 400 acres of wetland and pond habitat and 2.2 miles of river and shoreline habitat on the Cape. Our #drinkingwater team will be attending the upcoming New England Water Works Association Annual Conference in North Falmouth, MA, taking place September 15-18. April Locke, PE, Mary Danielson, PE, Ryan Hayes, P.E., and Benjamin Levesque will speak in sessions on Tuesday about our work on the Harvard-Devens water connection and the Portsmouth Water and Fire District emergency interconnection. Jamie Fitzpatrick, PE and Katelyn Donovan will lead a presentation today on lessons learned while developing and implementing culvert management programs across the Northeast. Yesterday, Kayla Larson, P.E. presented on collaborative models for sustainable watershed management and community engagement.

We partnered with the Portsmouth Housing Authority on this unique housing project, which involves the construction of 44 affordable apartments and converting an existing church building into a mixed-use development featuring 7 transitional housing units, new administrative offices, and a renovated daycare center. Our Stormwater team will present at the upcoming Maine Stormwater Conference, taking place September 5-6 in Portland, ME. Kayla Larson, P.E. will present on our collaborative partnership, led by the Merrimack River Watershed Coalition and including Groundwork Lawrence, Merrimack Valley Planning Commission, and the Cities of Lawrence and Methuen, MA, to address water quality of the Spicket River through green #stormwater infrastructure.
