Meet David Duncan, our Stormwater Group Leader in North Carolina! David began his journey at Timmons Group a decade ago as a project engineer in Hampton Roads, advancing to a management role and now leading our North Carolina stormwater team. With expertise in drainage improvements and flood studies, David has designed stormwater systems and managed projects across the Mid-Atlantic, focusing on supporting local communities and residents. School is back in session, and we’re spotlighting the new Falling Creek Middle School—the largest middle school in Central Virginia! 🏫 Timmons Group was honored to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this month, celebrating the official opening of Chesterfield County’s first three-story middle school. The new building is designed to accommodate up to 1,800 students and reflects the area’s recent growth and commitment to education. On July 29, construction began on a crucial connector project between Powhatan Elementary and Powhatan Middle Schools to help ease traffic problems during drop-off and pick-up times. The project will result in a safer, more efficient traffic flow, allowing students to arrive and leave school safely. Timmons Group is proud to have contributed to this community initiative. Timmons Group was honored to attend the James River Water Authority (JRWA) groundbreaking ceremony yesterday! 🏗️ The new $56 million project will utilize the James River to establish a sustainable water source for the Zion Crossroads area in the Louisa and Fluvanna counties of Virginia. "The JRWA project has been 20+ years in the making and will no doubt guarantee a prosperous economic future for both Louisa and Fluvanna Counties,” said Joe Hines, PE, MBA, Principal in Charge, who has been involved with the project since 2001. “We’ve had a great team and great partners that have made this project happen." The 17,000-square-foot future emergency room and imaging center is set to be completed by late 2025. As the fifth free-standing emergency center by Bon Secours in the Richmond region, it will play a crucial role in meeting the increasing healthcare needs of the community.
