Toppers Pizza has a tradition of ringing a cowbell. A lot of cowbells. All new headquarters (HQ) team members get a cowbell and it’s not uncommon to hear them ringing in the halls of HQ as we hit sales records, profit records or just to celebrate a win. Today I want to publicly ring Kevin Wleczyk’s bell for making a difference for 8 years at Toppers. Kevin has made a substantial difference at Toppers Pizza these last years. He’s our one man tech wrecking crew supporting our headquarters, franchisee operations, store level hardware and software solutions and helping manage our cloud services. If that wasn’t enough, you’d see him collaborating with our chef & innovation team on new food, ideating with our software engineers on POS/Website enhancements, overseeing his thirty seat third party call center partner for technical support, assisting with setting up new stores and saving the day from all manner of strange tech issues that pop up system-wide. This year, our franchisee’s asked to give out a “Franchisee Support Person of the Year” award at the Toppers Pizza National Convention so they could recognize back office people at our headquarters. It was no surprise to me that Kevin won the first ever award (show above w/ Franchise Advisory Council chairperson Karl Malchow). Companies thrive with IT excellence.
