Mindfulness made meaningful 🌊 LinkedIn Top Voice🎙️ Inspiring purpose-driven leaders to transform their relationship with Stress. Easing overwhelm, anxiety and Burnout.

Too much GAS is driving you to Burnout 🔥 Why this 1 minute walkthrough is worth a 2nd mindful look... “The 3 Stages of Stress” 88 years ago Hans Seyle, Endocrinologist and “Father of Stress Research” proposed the General Adaption Syndrome (GAS model). In 1936 🤯 It’s impact on stress research since, has been huge, providing a framework for understanding our physiological responses to Stressors. And interplay between endocrine, immune and nervous systems. The 3 stages: ❗️ Alarm  - A threat is perceived.   - Fight-Flight-Freeze is activated.  - Senses sharpened. Body primed for action! We worry, overthink, lose focus and experience anxiety. 🛡️ Resistance  - Stressors persist. Cortisol ↑  - The body attempts to cope, to adapt.  - Allostatic load builds. Our wellbeing suffers. Our mood, emotions, sleep and immunity is destabilised. 🪫 Exhaustion  - Demands overwhelm body & brain.  - Adaptive resources are fully depleted.  - Our systems go into exhaustion. We can’t cope. Poor health, mental & emotional decline. Even Burnout. - - - Why is this worth a 2nd look? Because: We all feel the impact of “Alarm” And we often get stuck in “Resistance” But we don’t have to slip into “Exhaustion” Instead, we can learn to:  - Mindfully respond, not react to stress.  - Cultivate healthier adaptive responses.  - Take a self-caring foot off the gas. In each moment of our lives, we are faced with a choice: to view the world through a lens of positivity or negativity. It is all too easy to succumb to negative thoughts, especially in difficult times, but the truth is that the quality of our lives is determined by the quality of our thoughts. When we choose positivity, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities and opportunities. We begin to see the good in others and in ourselves, and we become more resilient in the face of adversity. It is not always easy, but the simple act of choosing positivity can transform our lives in ways we never thought possible. So let us make that choice each and every day, and watch as our lives become filled with joy, abundance, and fulfillment. I am excited to share that I have had the privilege of attending numerous top-notch conferences hosted by NICABM and these leading experts in the field. These invaluable experiences have provided me with profound knowledge and insights into the impact of childhood trauma on individuals' lives and my own. One crucial aspect that I have learned is how the fear of abandonment can significantly hinder individuals from attaining what they genuinely desire in life - a healthy and happy relationship. The fear, blame, and shame stemming from childhood trauma often lead to deep-seated insecurities and a lack of trust, making it challenging for someone to reach out or accept an offer to go on a date. However, for those who manage to overcome this initial hurdle and embark on a relationship, the fear of abandonment continues to linger. They find it difficult to feel at ease, constantly questioning whether their partner truly loves them and will remain committed. Fortunately, the knowledge and insights gained from attending these conferences have been instrumental in my practice. Armed with a deeper understanding of the impact of childhood trauma, I am better equipped to support individuals in overcoming their insecurities and building trust in their relationships. I am grateful for the opportunity to have attended these courses, as they have truly enriched my professional journey. I look forward to continuing to apply this profound knowledge to help my clients navigate their own healing and find the fulfilling relationships they deserve. I encourage others to take the opportunity to attend this course led by these top notched experts! #childhoodtrauma #relationshipcoaching #nicabm
