Whether you’re spending time at the beach, park or just hanging out in your backyard this holiday weekend, we'd like to remind you to stay safe in the sun. Excessive sun exposure, in addition to causing skin problems like wrinkles, discoloration, and even skin cancer, can also lead to eye damage. The sun’s ultraviolet rays can damage the cornea, lens, and retina, resulting in cataracts, macular degeneration, and other vision problems. So, whether you're going for a run, working in your yard or kicking back by the sea, remember to wear your sunglasses and reapply your sunscreen often! Just a friendly reminder from your friends at TCMC!

Tri-City Medical Center is proud to have earned a #GetWithTheGuidelines STEMI Receiving Center Silver award from the American Heart Association (AHA). This award demonstrates our hospital's adherence to the latest, research-based clinical guidelines to support better outcomes for patients. Each year, about 285,000 people in the U.S. experience an ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), a heart attack caused by a complete blockage in a coronary artery, according to the AHA. Like all heart attacks, this requires timely treatment to restore blood flow as quickly as possible. Click here to learn more: https://bit.ly/46ZcJKv
