CPO & Co-Founder of Alma (Innovating Immigration)

Immigration has been the defining thread of my life since I arrived in the US at 14. It shaped my career in ways I never anticipated, dictating which companies I could work for (only those willing to sponsor my H-1B) and influencing major life decisions (should I stay at my job until I get the green card?). When I heard about the advice of building a solution for your personal problems, I would immediately think of immigration. The process has always been complex, time-consuming, and frustrating for myself and many people I knew. That's why when my co-founder Aizada Marat approached me with the idea to innovate within the world of immigration, it immediately resonated. I saw an opportunity to make a real difference. Turns out Shuo Chen felt the same way when Aizada and I approached him to join us to build Alma. This is something that immediately bonded us. It has been one of the biggest pain points in all of our lives. Today, I'm proud to be part of a team that's innovating the immigration process. Our mission is simple yet powerful: empowering talented individuals from around the world to pursue their dreams and contribute their skills to the global economy. If you're navigating the complex world of visas and green cards, or if you know someone who is, we'd love to connect and help you.

Did you know one of the Founding Fathers of the United States was an immigrant? It was Alexander Hamilton, born on the island of Nevis in the British West Indies. Below are 5 interesting facts about him: - Hamilton's early life was marked by many hardships, but despite it his exceptional writing skills earned him a ticket to the US (community leaders paid for the ticket) and he graduated from King’s College (now Columbia). - Hamilton played a significant role in the American Revolutionary War. He initially joined as a volunteer quickly became future President George Washington's right-hand man. - He passed the New York bar after 6 months of self-education and became licensed to argue cases before the Supreme Court of New York (he was an attorney!). - As the first Secretary of the Treasury, Hamilton was the chief architect of the American financial system. He established the First Bank of the United States, and minted the country's first coin. - Hamilton was one of the principal authors of The Federalist Papers, a series of 85 essays written to promote the ratification of the U.S. Constitution. He wrote approximately 51 of these essays!
