The Biden-Harris Administration’s Kids Online Health and Safety Task Force, co-led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), released a new report today with recommendations and best practices for safer social media and online platform use for youth. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking concept papers from organizations interested in securing up to $70 million in funding to establish and operate a new Manufacturing USA institute focused on artificial intelligence. The institute will be responsible for helping manufacturers integrate AI into their processes to boost productivity and increase their resilience against supply chain disruptions. https://lnkd.in/ensdA4TB

West Virginia University at Parkersburg would receive a grant from the Department’s U.S. Economic Development Administration. WVUP is being awarded a $1.3 million grant to boost the region’s advanced manufacturing workforce training efforts. Two years ago the U.S. Department of Commerce announced it was embarking on what was dubbed the National Travel and Tourism Strategy. As part of that strategy, the Commerce Department set a five-year goal of welcoming 90 million international visitors annually by 2027.
