Today's #MissionMonday shines the spotlight on our clinic team for their amazing job with the Annual Skills Fair! The Skills Fair is an annual event for Ambulatory Care Staff to demonstrate competencies in areas like AED, AIDET, infection control, EKGs, and injections. This ensures our clinical team operates at the top of their certifications, aligning with UMC's mission and core values. This year, we added EKGs and moved the event to the LSU Advanced Skills Simulation lab for hands-on practice with interactive mannequins. Pre-event practice sessions were offered, and the staff rated the experience highly at 4.79 out of 5! Keep up the good work, Team!👏

On Saturday, July 27th, the National Urban League's Community and Family Day Expo was held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center for a free day of excitement, entertainment, and valuable resources for the whole family. University Medical Center's Monique Brown, Director of Community, had the pleasure of meeting so many families. She was able to share information about the excellent healthcare services offers at UMC! #MissionMonday

Today's #FeelGoodFriday focuses on UMC patient, Mildred Morris! Mildred, a proud Charity baby, spent 14 months at UMC as a patient, and she attributes her remarkable progress to the exceptional care provided by her hospital team. During what was initially a routine hernia surgery, doctors discovered a hole in her stomach, leading to an extended stay where her resilience and the team's dedication shone through.
