We are celebrating Mid-Atlantic Women's Care, a Unified ObGyn affiliate, which officially opened its brand new Laboratory doors last month! The Lab team snapped this photo after loading the inaugural specimen for testing. Kudos and thanks to everyone across our community who contributed to this successful launch. 

The birth of a baby brings with it a natural wonder many parents aren’t aware of – the ability to save a life. A newborn’s umbilical cord and placenta contain blood-forming cells that can provide lifesaving treatments for patients with metabolic or immune system disorders, leukemia and lymphoma. Cord blood is often discarded as medical waste, but that is changing as understanding has grown. July has been designated as Cord Blood Awareness Month by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. The project was part of Summer of Service 🌼, an annual initiative led by our philanthropic arm UnifiedCares. Unified is delighted to announce three new additions to its Breast Imaging Program! We are thrilled to partner with Capital Women's Care (Division 65), Northwest Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates, and Square Care Breast Imaging at Woodbury, who are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art quality mammography and breast imaging services to all women within their communities. By joining forces with these respected care centers, we are reinforcing our commitment to enhancing women's breast health and well-being everywhere.
