Our HouseCalls program has been historically misrepresented and misunderstood. We’re on a mission to not only reshape the way people receive care but also reshape the way people think about early detection and disease prevention. This begins with value-based care programs like HouseCalls, which provide in-home clinical assessments at no cost to millions of seniors each year. Our HouseCalls clinicians are responsible for identifying conditions and connecting patients to necessary specialists and high-quality medical care. These visits are a critical touchpoint in the care continuum, supplementing annual physician visits—not replacing them—and ensuring people have access to needed services, including housing, food and social support. Rather than relying on treating a constant influx of sick patients, we see a different way forward—one that cares for patients before they are too sick for viable treatment and provides higher-quality outcomes at a lower cost.
