She practiced hands-on skills like unblocking a cat, closing a liver lobectomy on a bunny, and tapping a chest for the first time. "My favorite part of the externship was the amount of hands-on experience I gained with the doctors. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a great experience, and all the doctors were very knowledgeable. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Dr. Murray is one of the amazing doctors at the veterinary emergency clinic that I would like to thank for all the opportunities for hands-on experience and for teaching me so much in the short period of time I was there. Originally from Fort Myers, Florida, Sasha aims to practice in her home state post-graduation. She has a keen interest in small animal medicine, particularly internal medicine, as well as practice ownership and research. After graduation, Sasha plans to pursue a small animal rotating internship.
