Meet, Dr. Jodi Williams! Dr. Williams is a national program leader in NIFA's Division of Food Safety. "I came to NIFA as a USDA 1890 National Scholar. This scholarship included tuition, room, board, fees, books, a laptop and a summer internship for the four years I was in undergraduate school. While working in the summer, I became interested in the application of my chemistry major to agricultural sciences. After many conversations with mentors at USDA, I pursued by graduate degrees in food science and technology. I came to NIFA because of the scholarship, I stayed because of the mission. As a national program leader, I am on the front lines working directly with stakeholders to ensure our research, education and Extension programs are appropriate and continue to address the significant challenge of keeping the U.S. food supply accessible, safe, affordable and nutritious." -Dr. Jodi Williams Learn more about Dr. Williams and her role at NIFA: https://lnkd.in/eacAiNh7
