This morning, USF FCU joined the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The event paid tribute to the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the bravery of first responders and the resilience of our nation. Retired FDNY Battalion Chief and 9/11 first responder John "Jack" McDonnell shared his powerful reflections, reminding us of the importance of never forgetting the courage and sacrifice shown that day. USF FCU's own Richard Sellwood, SVP & COO, also addressed the crowd, reaffirming our shared values of resilience, community and remembrance.

In honor of 9/11, we recently had the privilege of treating the brave men and women of the USF Police Department to lunch. Our team delivered handwritten thank you cards and gifted them our special "bulls" to watch over them on their dashboards, just as they watch over our USF community every day. 💚💛 We are deeply grateful for the sacrifices they make to keep us safe. If he were to appear in a newspaper, the headline would likely read, "Grace Under Fire: How One Individual Stays Calm Amidst the Chaos." 📰 At home, he has a playful Maltese Poodle named Macy, who won his heart by untying his shoelace as a pup.❤️🐶 He’d love to have Chuck Bass as a coworker for the laughs and dreams of exploring Japan’s culture and cuisine.
