Thank you to the amazing employees of Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, especially our host Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, for the opportunity to speak at the recent "Metro Makes a Difference" breakfast. Through the support of metro staff, United Way of Greater Nashville will unite the community and mobilize resources to ensure that every child, individual and family thrive. I deeply appreciated the opportunity to speak about the ways that our office continues to impact education systems so that we can give ALL kids an equal chance.

Busy hands at ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF NASHVILLE! This great partner of United Way of Greater Nashville is operated entirely through volunteers, serving thousands of children each year. They provide school uniforms and hygiene kits to children in need throughout Nashville. These basic needs have a huge impact on student success, and I am so grateful for the volunteers that make this work happen!

Last night United Way of Greater Nashville hosted our first ever Mingling on Main with United Way event in Clarksville! Leadership Givers enjoyed mingling, delicious charcuterie from Tutti Frutti Charcuterie LLC, Beer kindly donated from Tristar Beverage Clarksville and wine. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and a beautiful venue at Sanctuary on Main. Thank you to all who come out last night including Wesley Golden and Joe Pitts. It was a lovely time!

We’re excited about the launch of Moving Men Forward, a project that tackles financial barriers faced by men of color in Davidson County. With support from Wells Fargo and partnership with Metro Nashville, the Nashville Financial Empowerment Center will provide personalized financial guidance to help men make informed money decisions and close financial literacy gaps. #fecnash #financialempowerment
