Meet Dov Diamond (he/him) ✨, our Vice President of Sales & Sales Development, this week’s #FeatureFriday! Let’s get to know Dov👇 Q: What makes a great Sales team?  “There's a lot to unpack there, but it starts with hiring the right people and continues with a culture of testing, learning, feedback, and coaching, but ultimately, it's hard to get far without really impressing the value of teamwork and a desire to get better as a group. At the individual level, that means being humble enough to share your struggles and your failures so your colleagues can share their experiences and how they have powered through the same issues while also being magnanimous enough to share your successes without ego so they can learn from them.” Q: What is your favorite memory from working at Versapay so far?  “The FY'24 kickoff- it was incredible to have the opportunity to align on product roadmaps, understand strategic priorities, and spend time strengthening relationships with so many of the amazing people that make Versapay great.” Q: You just won $10,000 — what are you going to do with the money?  “Take my wife on an all-expense paid vacation to someplace we would not usually invest in like the Turks & Caicos.” Q: What’s been your most questionable haircut and/or fashion moment?  “I remember growing out my hair and not having any idea what to do with it in the in-between stages so I I had long hair up top and a close cut on the sides. I remember going to a company christmas party and it was clear I looked way too much like 1980s Boy George. Won't make that mistake again, but there have been and will be others.” #lifeatversapay

Meet Andy Phillips (he/him/his) ✨, our Senior Product Designer, and this week's #FeatureFriday. From creative beginnings using a camcorder to shaping the future of our products, Andy brings a unique blend of passion and expertise to everything he does. Let's get to know Andy👇 Q: How did you begin your career in product design?  "When I was a junior in high school, my parents bought me a camcorder. Around the same time, we adopted a black lab puppy, Parker, so I spent a few hours following him and recording him. It spiraled from there to wanting to edit the video, then wanting to put it online (2004, so before YouTube came out), then teaching myself how to code (HTML and CSS) and design a website so that I could share the video with friends and family. I transferred to a different high school senior year to take web design classes, and the rest is history!"    Q: What is your favorite memory from working at Versapay so far?  "Flying to Baltimore at the end of last year to meet with a small team that's focused on a new portal we're building. Building those relationships early has paid a lot of dividends over the last year. It was 3-days of hard work, but we're all excited about the future of this portal and Versapay."    Q: What do you do to relax outside of work?  "Landscaping has been a great source of relaxation for me this summer. Everything from power washing and staining our fence, shoveling 3 cubic yards of gravel into our carport, building a new section of fence and gate (shoutout to Mike D for the encouragement), and pulling weeds."    Q: What's a wild or unexpected goal or dream you have for the future, even if it seems far-fetched?  "In my 20s and early 30s, I've always loved hostels. Whether it's in the US or abroad, they're cheap and you get to meet a lot of international travelers you'd never meet otherwise. My wild, unexpected dream would be to open my own hostel so that I could meet travelers from all over the world and give them an inexpensive place to stay." #lifeatversapay
