Did you know our brains can process an image in 13 milliseconds? You want to know how long it takes for you to grab the remote? Longer. Our minds process things fast. According to NPR.org, the human brain can process 11 million bits of information every second, but our conscious minds can handle only 40 to 50 bits of information a second. 90% of the information processed by the brain is visual, again, taking only 13 milliseconds for our brains to process an image, and about 120 milliseconds before we can take an action on the basis of that information. So what does this have to do with watching movies or shows? It takes 13 milliseconds for our brains to process any information. Several dozen milliseconds, before we even start to think about grabbing for the remote. That “bad part” you all just saw in the movie that you want to fast-forward through? The entire room already processed it ten-fold, even if it’s just a glimpse. Maybe you already know when the part is coming, so you’re just going to fast-forward yourself. Well, that’s stressful and unnecessary. Unless Liam Neeson’s “finding someone” or there’s a will-they-won’t-they situation happening in a rom-com, movie night should be a no-stress zone. Stop fast-forwarding. Stop guessing. Stop getting it wrong. Don’t just watch your movies, VidAngel them. Because fast-forward isn't fast enough.

Dedicated is the understatement of the century when it comes to our Content Filtering Director, Belinda Galvin. She was hired as a tagger an impressive ten years ago and quickly became an integral part of our team. She now manages our team of taggers and is responsible for what movies and TV shows are available on VidAngel. Our customers come first each and every time, no questions asked. In August of 2020, she was determined to get our most-requested TV series into our customers' hands before logging off, come rain or high water. Quite literally. A hurricane was headed straight her way at the height of hurricane season. Our customers' requests far outweighed our pleas with her to sign off and take cover as her neighborhood began to flood in the middle of the "High Seas" project. She's an incredible person with 26 years of experience in the airline industry, holds a private pilot license, has a gift for story-telling, can out-cook a 5-star chef, and is the host of all hosts.
