Congratulations to Amy Mataro, Senior Associate Executive Director at Vi at Bentley Village, on 40 years with us!! In 1984, Amy Mataro began working with Hyatt hotels, and she moved over to senior living in 1992, where her career with Vi, then known as Classic Residence by Hyatt began. Over the years, Amy has worked in various roles and communities, starting in the rental division and contributing to communities in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Pompano Beach and Hollywood, Florida. She also served as a trainer for Resident Services and worked in the CCRC division at Lantana and Naples, Florida, La Jolla, California, and Vi at Grayhawk in Scottsdale, Arizona. Additionally, Amy stepped in as interim Executive Director (ED) for multiple communities, including Lakeside Village, Grayhawk, La Jolla, Bentley Village and Aventura. She also served as ED in Pompano Beach for seven years and in Grayhawk for almost nine years. In her current role as Senior Associate Executive Director at Bentley Village, her days are filled with overseeing certain departments and contributing to new community projects. If you're looking to have an impressive resume and tenure such as Amy's, she shared this piece of advice, "Make sure you like what you do. Offer to take on new challenges and opportunities and always continue to learn and improve." When Amy isn't making Vi history, she spends her time traveling, decorating and spending time with her family and friends. Happy Anniversary, Amy!
