We're excited to recognize this year's Waukesha County Medium Business of the Year award winner Citizens Bank! Citizens Bank serves nine communities with 12 offices, 10 of which are located in Waukesha County. The vision of Citizens Bank is to build meaningful relationships with people, businesses, and communities to help on their journey to financial well-being. They are constantly searching for ways to do business better. In recent years, they developed a suite of products and services especially for local municipalities and school districts, and are continuing work in assisting local schools to improve their personal finance education. Congratulations to the entire Citizens Bank team!

Another session of Leadership Waukesha County in underway! Today, participants are hearing from Kelly Renz of inVantage - Business Guides about emotional intelligence and its importance in our everyday lives.

Congratulations to Emerging Leader of Waukesha County and Project Executive at Hunzinger Construction Company Scott Wendt! Scott started at Hunzinger as an Engineering Co-Op while in college. He began full-time as a project engineer over 20 years ago and has since grown into a leadership position. As a Project Executive, Scott has become a mentor to rising construction professionals, bringing a dedication and deep understanding of the construction business to his work. He has a positive influence on employees and sets a great example of a realistic work life balance, always finding time for his children and wife. At his core, Scott is a builder others know they can trust.

A fantastic week at the Alliance as summer winds down! The Construction Alliance hosted Executive Vice President at ACG Wisconsin Bob Barker, our Board of Directors heard from Regional Innovation Officer at the Wisconsin BioHealth Tech Hub Wendy Harris, our fall cohort of Leadership Waukesha County kicked off with nearly 30 participants, and we hosted Tom Schreibel and Michael Kuglitsch of Michael Best for a November election preview at Policy Insights.

We won the intern lottery with Avni Verma! Avni spent a second summer supporting the Alliance team and we are sad to see her go. We wish you the very best on your senior year at Brookfield Central (Elmbrook Schools), Avni!

The Alliance is proud to recognize this year's Advocate of the Year award winner which celebrates individuals who have demonstrated incredible dedication to making Waukesha County a vibrant community. Congratulations to Principal at Cushman & Wakefield | Boerke Jeff Hoffman, SIOR,CCIM! Jeff pursues his passion for learning the nuances of public policy as it relates to advancing economic development. He has served on multiple business trade association boards and been a member of a legislative task force that reviewed property tax assessment law. In 2022, Jeff was named to the Waukesha County Center for Growth Board of Directors which is tasked with growing the economy of Waukesha County, an economic growth engine for Wisconsin. In 2022 Jeff also published his first book “Industrial is What We Do.” which serves as a roadmap for the continued growth of the Wisconsin economy through the next decade. Congratulations, Jeff!

Congratulations to Emerging Leader of Waukesha County Daniel Gitto of TopLine Results Corporation! Dan has the mentality of a servant leader with compassion, integrity, and humility sitting high on his list of character traits. During his time at Cru Global, Dan and his wife raised $100K in funds to support their year-long assignment in Perth, Australia where they established student organizations and mentored students on two campuses. With a strong heart for community and helping others, Dan volunteers at his church and with children dealing with relational trauma where his compassion has been instrumental. Dan is also actively involved with various local businesses, one of which is Marquette University where he participates in mock interviews for students. It was great to hear from newly named President & CEO of Blain's Farm & Fleet (Blain Supply, Inc.) Mark Hasting at this morning's Business Growth program!
