Earlier this month, Weaver Consultants Group had the opportunity to participate in the Sunshine Canyon Landfill Community Open House hosted by Republic Services. Local community members were invited for a fun and engaging morning while learning about the landfill’s operations.   A few of WCG’s Odor Control Team, Kyle Gould, Chuck Young, Jose Reyna, and Jeremy Kina, were in attendance to provide insight and answer questions about the ins and outs of odor mitigation.   Thank you to all who attended and Republic Services for hosting such a great event!

Weaver Consultants Group was a proud sponsor of the Colorado Environmental Management Society’s Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament, held last week in Arvada, Colorado. The group, consisting of Paul Gruca, CWP, Brad A. Woodard, PG (NE,GA), CPG, REP, CWP, and John Yerton of Weaver, along with Paul Weaverling of Resight, enjoyed a day of golfing, networking with industry peers, and supporting a great organization!

New WORK for Weaver Consultants Group. Weaver has an incredible history of retention. It’s a great place to work and grow, which is why so many of their staff stick around for the long haul. But in a world where there are lots of companies screaming “Work for us!” Weaver needed to cut through the noise. How? By taking a risk and staking a claim as a company so good that people want to stay and grow in their careers. Problem is, in the 21st century, young folks have a word for that, and it’s not exactly positive. Lifer. That word scares people—especially young ones. But when we talked to people working at Weaver, it wasn’t a negative term at all. So we took it back, replacing its negative connotations with the positive stories of five employees at different stages of their careers at Weaver. We got to know who they are in and out of the job, then asked them to define the word “Lifer.” What we found is that being a lifer is great—if you love what you do. Julie Hall, Project Director for Weaver Consultants Group, is proud to be the emcee for the 33rd Annual Environmental Permitting in Ohio Conference. Renowned as Ohio's Premier Air, RCRA, and Water Permitting Conference, the event will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, July 17th and 18th, in Columbus.   Julie Hall will kick off the event tomorrow with a Welcome and Conference Overview as Chair of the Air & Waste Management Association—East Central Section.
