Earlier this month, 27 students participated in a public information course held in Williston, ND. The L-0105 course was taught by the NDPIO Association President Rob Keller. Over the course of three days students listened to lectures regarding the basics of public information and participated in a handful of useful activities to prepare them for real-world scenarios. We would like to officially welcome the WIlliams County Dispatch Center to the Williams County team! Williams County and the City of Williston had partnered to operate the UMRDC. During the August 1, 2023, regular meeting, the Williams County Board of County Commissioners voted in favor of assuming full responsibility for the county wide dispatch center. As of September 1, 2023, The Upper Missouri River Regional Dispatch Center(UMRDC) was officially converted to Williams County Dispatch Center.
