We are excited to share that another round of grants are available to revitalize underused spaces in communities across Wisconsin! The Vibrant Spaces Grant program allows municipalities to apply for grants between $25,000 and $50,000. Proposals will be evaluated based on their ability to create visible and pedestrian-oriented public spaces that attract and accommodate groups and activities and benefit nearby businesses and the community. Do not miss on a fantastic opportunity to grow your company's exports! WEDC will be leading a trade mission to Australia in November. In 2023, Wisconsin companies exported goods totaling $812 million -- making Australia a top-7 destination for international exports. The trade mission will include stops in Sydney and Melbourne. It was a pleasure to have the delegation from Germany visit our Madison office last week!

Deputy Secretary Sam Rikkers, Rural Prosperity Director Beth Haskovec, and Market Development Director Rome Rauter welcomed a delegation of 20 from Germany this past Friday. The delegation was part of “Beyond Washington, Understanding the Heartland," a one-week program for staff members of German members of the Bundestag from all parliamentary groups and regions. The program provides an in-depth understanding of U.S. domestic policy and the resulting foreign policy to foster transatlantic relations. This is supported by the U.S. Embassy in Berlin. WEDC gave an insight into the State of Wisconsin including our economic industries, and other initiatives in rural development, sustainability, and export promotion.
