Both police and fire departments remain under one roof with updated space and operational functionalities including extended indoor parking, modern technology, and a focus on first responder health and wellness. It is an exciting time for the Malesus STEM Innovation Center in the TN Jackson Madison County School System System officially opening its doors for the new school year! The building was previously an elementary school but was closed for eight years. Wold's task was to renovate and transform it for use as a focused STEM School for middle schoolers. Despite an extremely accelerated design and construction schedule for a multi-phased occupancy plan, the project was completed on time for the first class of incoming middle school students and staff to enjoy. Students will be able to learn in their new innovative spaces that include Robotics, the Toyota EM2 Institute, the Cyber Command Institute, and MakerSpace. Phase II is currently under construction with future phases in design now to support interest and growth. We look forward to keeping you posted as the next phase completes!
