Let’s hear it for Friday and for our new member highlight! Welcome, Katie Plante! Katie lives with her twin girls, Sutton & Halle (7 yrs) in Bellbrook. She has been at LexisNexis for over 14 years and is currently a Segment Manager. Katie is also a head coach at the Beavercreek Celtic Soccer Association. Being involved in helping to better Dayton-area children's lives, while working alongside so many wonderful women within the community is why she is so excited to join the Women's Board at Dayton Children's Hospital. Katie's girls keep her very active with all the activities that they participate in. She loves spending time with family, friends and Sutton & Halle especially when they are able to break away to the beach. So happy to have you! #Newmemberhighlight

Today’s new member highlight is Michelle D. DiFalco! Michelle lives in Vandalia with her husband, Edward, three kids (Olivia 13 yrs; Frankie 10 yrs; & Evelynn 8 yrs) and Belgian Malinois, Lady. She is currently a Business Development Manager at Tangram Flex. When asked what she is looking forward to after joining the board, she states, “I am looking forward to serving on the Women’s Board to ensure kids in our community have access to the best care when they need it most!” We are excited to have you, Michelle! #newmemberhighlight

It’s time for a new member highlight! Welcome to The Women’s Board Michelle McBride! Michelle was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She now lives in Germantown, Ohio with her husband and two dogs, Jorgie and Charlie. Michelle is a real estate agent and her and her husband own Insignia, a branding and marketing company. She is super excited to volunteer among so many smart and ambitious women. Michelle wants to be a part of changing and enhancing children's lives in our community and at Dayton Children's Hospital. Michelle and her husband are avid scuba divers and love to travel to several countries to experience the beauty of the ocean and all that it has to offer. They are both active in ocean conservation and have recently started a business providing reusable trash bags for divers to take diving and for beach cleanup. For our next #NewMemberHighlight, meet Halee Mollette! Halee is currently an Associate Director, Marketing Strategy for Lunne Marketing Group (LMG). She's a big advocate for Dayton with a specific focus on young professionals and keeping talent in the community to continue growing and building our city. In addition, she also serves as the 2024 Chair Elect for Generation Dayton and loves staying involved in the community through various other groups and organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, friends, and Corgi, Hubble, exploring Dayton, hiking and adventuring, and watching or playing sports. When asked why she joined the board, she states, "Even without children, I recognize the major impact the hospital network has on the community - Dayton Children's Hospital is truly a pillar in the Dayton community and beyond. We're so lucky to have such an advanced, reputable children's hospital in our area and I want to help use my voice and network to bring awareness and funds to their mission!" For our next #NewMemberHighlight, meet Katie Kenney! Katie has worked on-air at WDTN-TV for the past 10 years. She and her former co-worker also host a podcast called A Mom’s Life - new episodes coming soon! Born, raised, and still living in Centerville, Katie and her husband Scott have three children, Beckton (14), Kalvin (13), and Lucia (6). Katie is active in the community coaching cheerleading, emceeing and volunteering for events in the community, announcing play-by-play for her kids sports, and cheering on her kids in everything from the classroom, to the field, to the stage. Katie says, "For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a Mom and I know how lucky we are to have three healthy children. The pandemic created some mental health struggles in our own kids and my hope in joining The Women’s Board of Dayton Children's Hospital is to be an advocate for children and mental health in our region.” We are glad to have you, Katie! #FTK #NewMemberHighlight
