The Great Outdoors is an outdoor group, the purpose of which is to "instill in its members a respect and appreciation for the environment and a desire that it be protected for this generation and for many to come." It's comprised of 5 chapters throughout Southern California.

The Great Outdoors is an outdoor group, the purpose of which is to "instill in its members a respect and appreciation for the environment and a desire that it be protected for this generation and for many to come." It's comprised of 5 chapters throughout Southern California.

I served as president of the San Diego chapter of the Great Outdoors for a year, saving the chapter from dissolution (due to poor management by the previous chapter president) and building a solid core group that more than doubled chapter membership and the chapter balance sheet in the course of that year.

I served as Vice President of Outings for the previous few years, ensuring that the San Diego chapter had camping trips, hikes, and other monthly outdoor events scheduled throughout the year, and that they were coordinated with the other 4 Southern California chapters of the Great Outdoors.

I also led multiple camping trips, day hikes, and other outdoor events throughout the years I was involved, including our chapter's first participation in Coastal Cleanup Day (in 2019). Weniger anzeigen
