In order to encourage college students to incorporate both local and global news acquisition into their daily routine, we designed and prototyped a Daily News Quiz, complete with immediate feedback scoring. The quiz utilizes social media aspects to encourage global awareness dialogue, as well as a competitive component, to provide motivation to improve one's score.

Walking alone, especially at night, puts students at risk. We have been researching Northwestern student behavior and Evanston crime patterns to create GroupWalk, a mobile application that connects nearby students with each other to walk together.
