Cristina Dolan

Dream it. Code it. Win it. is a Create-a-thon organized by Cristina Dolan, the MIT Club of New York and the MIT Enterprise Forum of New York City to celebrate and reward the creative aspects of Computer Science with cash and prizes for high school and college students totaling over $250,000 over three years.

The event has won six awards including a Trader Magazine award, four Stevie Awards and an Award from MIT.

Development of education website and interactive educational software. Recruited volunteer designers and software developers for the successful roll-out.

Education Website was used by teachers throughout the United States to share curricula built around specific operas. NY City Opera worked with NY Public Schools to develop curricula to teach classes in parallel with the study of the operas.

Development initial Alumni Website requirements, developed the RFP, identified vendors, achieved internal consensus and the alumnae website with email forwarding was setup within a year.

Recruited a diverse board and worked on marketing strategy to increase alumnae participation.

The Institute's board of trustees is known as the Corporation. Its members include distinguished leaders in science, engineering, industry, education and public service, and ex officio, the President, Chairman, Treasurer, and Secretary of the Corporation. Between quarterly meetings, the Corporation functions through its officers and Executive Committee.
