    - Present

Mace is a programming toolkit for developing distributed systems. The goal of the project is to make it easier and faster to build correct, high performance distributed systems which are robust to both brittle hardware systems and malicious attack

    Mace includes:

    - An event-driven language for describing systems by defining their explicit state, messaging, and event handlers
    - A compiler implemented in Perl that implements the language

Mace is a programming toolkit for developing distributed systems. The goal of the project is to make it easier and faster to build correct, high performance distributed systems which are robust to both brittle hardware systems and malicious attack

    Mace includes:

    - An event-driven language for describing systems by defining their explicit state, messaging, and event handlers
    - A compiler implemented in Perl that implements the language
    - A runtime implemented in C++ including high-performance networking code
    - A model checker that can explore possible system behaviors to discover both liveness and safety bugs
    - A collection of further advanced testing tools, including a performance tester and malicious attack discovery tools.

Current Mace-related work further advances the project by supporting parallel and distributed event handling, and a system log analysis tool (Distalyzer) to detect the root causes of performance problems.
