Have some coursework towards a Masters in Management under my belt.

My focus was Organizational Theory, and I draw consistently on the themes taught in this program from innovators in the industry.

Growing people and teams has always been my passion, and it was here that the curiosity and drive was sparked to continually search for the best ways to affect the most change in people and teams.

My tenure at Davenport was filled with taking a class here, a class there, and took me some time to finish my degree. Debt free.

It was at Davenport that I wrote my business plan for my wine bar and nightclub as my thesis. After graduation, it wasn't long until the wine bar and nightclub were a reality.

It was at Davenport that I wrote my business plan for my wine bar and nightclub as my thesis. After graduation, it wasn't long until the wine bar and nightclub were a reality.

While attending Davenport, I acted as an admissions advocate and travelled to and presented to Michigan high school students about the benefits of attending college. I would present to individual classrooms of sophomore, junior and senior students and full class assemblies.

  • A semester of study in London, England where I had the opportunity to study under the son of Sir Lawrence Olivier.

One of the richest experiences abroad I've ever had!

The most important lesson learned: that I did not want a life in academia.

After two years at Grand Rapids Community College, I was accepted into the MSU's James Madison College, a top public affairs and policy college.

I later decided that I'd prefer a career in academia and switched to a double major of Psychology and English with a minor in Philosophy.

In high school I was one of eight students selected to participate in a pilot program where students were trained by the American Red Cross and sent into classrooms across the state of Michigan to present sex education to their peers.
