Very excited to have joined SpringGR as a Mentor-Coach.

Under the leadership and direction of SpringGR, the Mentor-Coach team works to empower underserved entrepreneurs to build strong businesses through training and coaching, so that all may experience abundant life.

I personally work with two to three entrepreneurs that have graduated from the SpringGR program, as well as with entrepreneurs that are enrolled in one of two annual cohorts.

I mentor a small cohort of students through the school year in their Academy of Business, Leadership & Entrepreneurship.

Meeting monthly, the mentorship program aims to provide and build accountability, guidance, and trust.

From year to year, the goal is that I keep the same students to develop strong relationships and can continue to help as they evolve in their high school and higher education careers.

Techstars Startup Weekends are 54-hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs.

Beginning with Friday night pitches and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Techstars Startup Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos and presentations.

Our Mission is to develop Greater Grand Rapids into a vibrant bicycling community.

We work to promote the benefits of cycling to the local economy, for the health of all, and for the sustainability of our environment.

As the Bike Valet Manager, I coordinated all the volunteers for the events at which we're hired to provide bicycle valet services.

Through these services, we raise funds and awareness for the advocacy and work we do with the city and regional government and transportation agencies to make it safer for cyclists in San Diego County.

I work on the Engagement and Outreach teams as a guide, taking travelers on a walking tour of some of San Diego's famous craft breweries and ensure our guests get the best experience in San Diego as possible.

In this role, I taught the Junior Achievement curriculum to Grand Rapids Public Schools high school classes.

This curriculum had students go through the exercise of thinking about entrepreneurism, finance, staffing, and had them run through various business cases and scenarios that included aspects of the challenges of operating a business.

I also spent a great deal of time analyzing case studies with the classes pulled from current business news and had them deep dive into the… Mehr zeigen

Focus was on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, but as this hour-long presentation and Q&A were often the only sex education these students had we often were asked about pregnancy, social norms, physiology, STDs, drugs, etc.
