Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.

REAL is an acronym for ‘Recognizing Entrepreneurial Activity and Leadership.’ “The idea of this award is to highlight and recognize students who have done exceptional entrepreneurial or leadership activity outside of the classroom. These are students who have started their own businesses or have engaged in significant community service projects.”

The Coles College Scholars Program at Kennesaw State University is designed to challenge and reward top students in the business school. The Scholars have unique academic and professional opportunities that distinguishes them from peers when they make the transition from college to career. A maximum of 25 Scholars are selected each year to form a cohort through a thorough application process that not only focuses on GPA but leadership and teaming skills as these students are projected to ultimately become business and community leaders. As a result, the program is designed to be cross-disciplinary and emphasizes leadership, critical thinking, change management, strategy, and other high level business areas, while still allowing the students to complete a degree in any of the Coles College of Business’ 9 business majors.
