My siblings and I would volunteer Thanksgiving and on Christmas to feed the homeless, underprivileged, and those unable to travel. Most of the food was served in the church while the remainder was delivered to homes.

Raised money personally and publicly to fund schools in Tibet after many were destroyed due to some unfortunate circumstances. Furthermore hosted video conferences to interact with the children and show them some American culture. Had the pleasure of teaching some some younger students math.

Helped mentally handicap maintain and empower a bottle washing facility. Managed distribution and processing of wine bottles for local vineyards by educating employees on its importance.

Recruited overweight women to partake in a 5k walk/run in exchange for prizes, recognition, and public appreciation. The event is now in its 4th year and was organized entirely through grassroots awareness.

With other science students at MSU we would travel to K-12 school systems to get kids interested in science. Often times the difference between a child who believes they are bad at math or scared of science is a poor teacher (as was my case in elementary school); however, doing the most insane, fun, and interactive science in front of kids and then explaining it with the same enthusiasm can trump whatever imagination was stripped from them previously. Taught medical managers the importance of marketing and provided a primer for understanding the marketing landscape. Topics included SEO, analytics, strategy, what's good, what's bad, and how to implement your own campaign.

This organization is the final stop in the foster process for children that have been in and out of the foster system for years. We educate children, house children, and feed children. By providing them the foundation of Maslow's Pyramid we are empowering children to lead productive lives. I was a Whaley's Child of sorts myself and therefore I wish to repay all the assistance I received by providing it double fold to the children of tomorrow. Assist the Master Gardner Society of Genesee County with the maintenance of the shelter's property, walk and feed animals, give comfort to animals who appear to be particularly distressed by their environment.

Routinely took friends and staff from Flint Ob/Gyn to participate in any and all chores at this women's shelter. We also provided off the record medical advice and volunteered treatment for some woman through our practice. Furthermore we arranged significant contributions so operations could continue.

Our team took unorganized goods and sorted/filtered them into different categories for distribution. We still maintain the record for most pounds of product per hour sorted by a team. This was not only a team building exercise but an opportunity increase distribution of charity to those in need.
