In July of 2010 and 2011, several members of my church and I traveled to Haiti in order to help out those in need. During this expedition, I was able to witness a lot of misfortune. In July of 2010 and 2011, several members of my church and I traveled to Haiti in order to help out those in need. During this expedition, I was able to witness a lot of misfortune. There were people who were completely naked, very sick, hungry and basically didn't have anything at all. I was able to distribute clothes, food, formula for the babies, books and even toys to the children. Another important thing that I was able to do was educate these people about the importance of hygiene. We were also able to provide them with soap, jugs of clean water, medicine and towels.Throughout the year when we couldn't be in Haiti, we would send things to the people in Haiti to make sure that they would be fine for the time being. I really enjoyed doing this volunteer work not only because I was able to provide a lot for those who were in need, but also because both of my parents are natives of Haiti and I have a strong tie to my Haitian roots and culture. I took part in becoming a volunteer coach/trainer for a basketball training organization known as, Big Apple Basketball NYC. During my time volunteering for this organization, I was responsible for improving the skills of children who ranged in age from about 4 years old to 17 years old. These skills included ball handling, defense, shooting, decision making, mental toughness and conditioning. Basketball is a passion of mine so I really enjoyed taking part in volunteering for this organization.

My role as the social media correspondent for Big Apple Basketball NYC from July of 2014 to August of 2015 was to increase the recognition and following of the team through their social media outlets. I was also responsible for keeping the current followers of this team interested and updated. This role entitled me to constantly update this organization's Twitter and Instagram accounts. I had to provide live stats during the team's games in a huge tournament that takes place at Baruch College… Mehr zeigen

What's Relevant TV is an organization that uses its online talk show and social media platforms in order to promote upcoming artists, and to keep its followers updated with the latest news on what is trending in the media. On December 18th, 2015 What's Relevant TV hosted its 2nd annual "The Color of Cancer" event and on that day, I had the pleasure of hosting the event in order to raise awareness and money to donate towards cancer… Mehr zeigen
