“I worked as Jason’s manager for several years at Coca-Cola as he led innovation and supply chain project teams, and promoted him to be a team director leading a Project Management function. He’s an impressive leader with a wide perspective on business performance, and is able to look at and address problems from multiple perspectives. He’s also adept at identifying issues, developing innovative solutions, and putting these solutions work. One specific example of this is his work to systematize and improve the performance of the PM team. Our team had historically had variability in performance of individual PMs, and an inability to manage the volume of projects against our PM team resources. Jason crystalized these issues, then created a solution with multiple parts. By defining and standardizing the outputs of each PM, the outputs of our function were clearly defined. Jason also created a unique and innovative resource management tool, which measured each project’s resource requirements and allowed us to understand portfolio-level requirements.
