“I have the pleasure of working with John in the Enterprise-Class Video-conferencing Telepresence Team. John has been very key in bringing up our next-generation Codec. To accomplish this, he collaborated with a large group of geographically diverse people. This was a very complex effort, since this was a new codec with new hardware, new Linux drivers and new architecture. In addition to doing design, C++ coding and helping drive the integration efforts to get features functioning, John also able to implement early Automated Testing (Test-Driven Development) to drive stability into both the new platform and the existing platform, which shared much of the same codebase. His Python and Jenkins test suites were key to us quickly identifying problem areas and what areas are working and stable. And the developers were able to run these tests as part of their development process to ensure that they would not break anything with their changes. John is a very quick learner, a very conscientious software engineer, a great problem-solver, excellent collaborator, and a fun person to work with. I look forward to continue working with John in the future.”
