“Julee is one of the main reasons not only is my business growing, but why it is happening so fast! I was simply a face painter when I met Julee. Now I have grown into an actual sustainable and quickly growing entertainment company with her incredible guidance. She was upfront and honest with me about what is necessary in the business world, gave her recommendations from an experienced standpoint and I never felt like I was just being convinced of some strategy. Everything she said was to my benefit and always came with encouragement and excitement. I had an hour conversation with her on the phone that has changed how I look at marketing and has honestly progressed my business in every way! Thank you Julee for your time, words and encouragement! I am so happy to work side by side The Zimmer family!”

What communication methods can leaders use to engage employees?
Most important is that communication should be based on the teams’ needs and based on thoughtful and intentional decision making practices. Leaders should explain context and data that are driving decisions and why they made them. Leaders should then actively listen for feedback, unspoken and voiced, and areas additional clarity is needed. The best decisions come not as a surprise or mandate to a team but rather with sighs and nods as the decision aligns with needs they had observed, felt and if necessary, communicated.

Organizations around the country have committed to DEI (or JEDI which adds Justice to the umbrella) in various ways, often resulting in the creation of committees, commitment/values-statements, or designated roles or departments to ensure the various perspectives of employees are considered and incorporated into organizational actions and decision-making.
