Leadership Metro Richmond (LMR) is a community leadership development and engagement organization with a mission to strengthen our region by connecting diverse leaders and preparing them to serve.

Created in 1980 as an innovative program to address racial and gender divides in our area’s community leadership, LMR is now a network of 2,000+ members from the business, nonprofit and governmental sectors of our community who have the desire to serve and the ability to lead.

The Pace Center is an inclusive, multicultural, VCU community. Pace is a place where students feel their unique stories and gifts are valued. As a collaborative ministry of the United Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church (USA), we believe all are created to live in deep relationship with one another, not in isolation. We also believe every individual has been created with infinite value and an important role to play in their community.

VCU Alumni and the MCV Alumni Association advance the university by building active support, commitment, involvement and recognition of alumni, students, faculty, business and community partners. The associations promote alumni involvement across all areas of Virginia Commonwealth University in support of its mission and will support alumni in furthering their career and educational goals.

The School of Education Alumni Council has historically focused on providing leadership, services, and activities for alumni and the larger university. The council is organized to:

Advance the cause of education
Stimulate and maintain professional relationships between the School of Education and its alumni
Promote an awareness, understanding and support of the School’s goals, progress, and needs

Pinnacle Living exists to better older adult lives not to generate better profits for shareholders. The team; employees, volunteers, board and leadership are inspired by the Wesleyan spirit to serve the needs of the world. Henrico CASA is a nonprofit organization which grew out of efforts by Henrico's Juvenile Court judges and a group of concerned citizens to improve the system's response to abused and neglected children. Since 1994 there have been more than 400 volunteer advocates sworn in to advocate for more than 3,000 children and families of Henrico.

The Bishops’ Foundation was created by action of the Virginia Annual Conference in 2011 to provide training for leadership development of both laypersons and clergypersons in the areas of evangelism and preaching in the Wesleyan spirit. Funds previously associated with the three predecessor organizations (The Goodson Foundation, The Stockton Endowment for Evangelism, and The Bishop Pennel Endowment) form the assets of The Bishops’ Foundation. The Bishops’ Foundation was created by action of the Virginia Annual Conference in 2011 to provide training for leadership development of both laypersons and clergypersons in the areas of evangelism and preaching in the Wesleyan spirit. Funds previously associated with the three predecessor organizations (The Goodson Foundation, The Stockton Endowment for Evangelism, and The Bishop Pennel Endowment) form the assets of The Bishops’ Foundation. It is the intention of the Annual Conference that future gifts in honor or memory of bishops of the Conference be directed to it. The Foundation is led by a board of directors (5 clergy and 4 laity) nominated by the cabinet. Provided strategic guidance and advice to operational aspects of the HR programs and services to employees of the Greater Richmond YMCA.

The Community Building Committee, a sub-committee of the Board of Directors, understands both United Way’s strategic framework and the ever-changing needs of the region. This group meets monthly to monitor and assess community and human service needs and make recommendations that enable United Way’s team to effectively allocate resources, dispatch volunteers and build out a suite of initiatives and programs.

As President of the Alumni Council, I served on the Board of Trustees representing the voice of alumni in the college's strategic and operational decisions.

Homeward is the planning and coordinating organization for homeless services in the greater Richmond region. Our mission is to prevent, reduce, and end homelessness by facilitating creative solutions through the collaboration, coordination, and cooperation of regional resources and services.
The organization fulfills its mission to prevent and end homelessness in the Richmond region through three core areas of focus:
