Here's how you can conquer the fear of delegating important tasks as a programmer.
Start with guidance that is consistent with both the work that is needed along with the abilities of the person who will be taking on the tasks. Engage your employees in a manner that allows them to take an appropriate level of ownership while being sure that you're able to help validate and guide the outcome. When they trust that they're in a position to succeed & you'll help ensure that, you can set a good path forward.

Here's how you can conquer the common challenges of scaling your programming business.
Ensure expertise aligns with domain. To the greatest extent possible, invest in having your team understand as much of your application and or client domain as possible. Where practical, set achievable targets and seek to work on projects that permit your team to focus. Be clear about requirements, architectural strategies and leveraging the right technologies while investing in your team’s training and professional growth. Try to continually encourage your team to grow while being careful to ensure that all are developing solid core skills.

What is the best way to educate your team about coding standards?
Mentoring is often very helpful. This can occur in several scenarios. Code reviews, peer programming, and discussions with both managers and peers can all be useful and constructive means to help engineers leverage and appreciate the benefits of thoughtful/meaningful coding standards.

You're a new manager with a lot of responsibility. What are the most important skills to develop?
1. Understand What Needs to be Done 2. Get the right people to execute your team's mission 3. Provide your team with information, clarity, and autonomy to deliver 4. Ensure that there are processes that support their success (rather than process for process sake). 5. Smile a lot & encourage positive behavior. 6. Detect and correct challenges when they arise. 7. Ensure that there's regular and efficient communications channels.
