“I've worked with a lot of developers in my time, and I don't think I've ever worked with someone as capable while also as new to the field as Nicole. I hired her for her first job in tech ever, and in her interview she demonstrated a mindset and skill in development that you wouldn't expect from someone new to the industry. As an example, she mentioned that at one point that she'd written a game and the win condition checking was making it kind of laggy, so she dug in and ended up using a fairly sophisticated recursive algorithm to improve its efficiency. Since that conversation, she has continuously demonstrated an understanding of software development beyond her time in the industry. She's constantly learning, and never seems to have any stubbornness when it comes to new concepts and technologies. I very much look forward to the next time that she and I are able to work together. She's a solid addition to any team.”
