    The PMI Switzerland Chapter is the swiss representation of the Project Management Institute. PMI is the largest Professional Association adressing Project Management and gathering more than 700,000 members and credential holders worldwide. The PMI Switzerland Chapter represents and promotes the professional practice of Project Management in Switzerland. Covering the whole country, The PMI Switzerland Chapter connects its 1,500 members, 2,200 PMI members and credential holders by organizing around 40 Professional Development and Learning events each year in Switzerland, by providing networking opportunities and various services to the local Project Management Community. These services are delivered by more than 100 commited volunteers who really contribute to make "Project Management indispensable to business results".

    As Chapter President, my role implies to:
    - Coordinate the efforts and initiatives of the Chapter's Board of Directors.
    - Drive the Chapter's startegy to foster its position as the leading Project Management Professional Association in Switzerland.
    -Ensure the Chapter delivers positive Value to its members and to the local Project Management community at-large.

PMI has recruited volunteers to create industry standards, such as "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge", which has been recognized by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).[5] In 2012 ISO adapted the project management processes from the PMBOK Guide 4th edition.
